Online Duel: Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg Engage in Verbal Sparring Across Twitter and Threads

The online clash between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, owners of prominent social media platforms, has intensified, leading to a potential legal battle.

In response to a screenshot showing Mark Zuckerberg liking derogatory tweets about Elon Musk, Musk tweeted on Sunday, "Zuck is a cuck," employing an insult commonly used by right-wing commentators and trolls.

The main catalyst for the feud appears to be Threads, a recently unveiled social media platform by Meta, Facebook's parent company. Threads shares many similarities with Twitter and has been labeled a "Twitter killer" or "Twitter clone" by the media due to its features allowing users to post short blurbs and repost others' content.

Musk, who acquired Twitter last year, has threatened legal action against Meta, accusing them of infringing on Twitter's intellectual property.

Ever since Threads went live last Thursday, Musk and Zuckerberg, both among the wealthiest individuals globally, have been exchanging jabs on their respective platforms.

Musk even went as far as challenging Zuckerberg to a cage match, a challenge that Zuckerberg appeared to accept. However, it remains uncertain whether the match will actually take place.
