Mr. Beast Achieves Record-Breaking Milestone, Surpassing Mark Zuckerberg as the First Person to Reach 1 Million Followers on Threads

In an impressive feat, Mr. Beast, known by his real name Jimmy Donaldson, has triumphed over Mark Zuckerberg and the rest of the competition to become the inaugural individual to amass 1 million followers on Instagram Threads. This extraordinary accomplishment has earned him a spot in the esteemed Guinness World Records.
Shortly after the launch of Meta's app, Zuckerberg secured the second position as the second person to hit the 1 million follower mark on Threads.

Guinness World Records confirmed that Mr. Beast achieved this milestone at 9:42 a.m. EST on July 6, a mere few hours after joining the app. Currently, Mr. Beast boasts an astounding 38.4 million followers on Instagram.

Guinness World Records even shared a video showcasing their meticulous monitoring of his follower count, which Mr. Beast playfully responded to, jokingly stating, "Shhhh, don't let the Twitter police know I'm cheating on them."

In an official statement, Guinness World Records clarified that Mr. Beast was the first individual, rather than an organization, to attain 1 million followers, despite others having reached this number before. The previous record-holders were predominantly organizations such as Instagram and National Geographic.

Mr. Beast, who has labeled himself as the "Future Threads CEO" in his bio, managed to achieve this remarkable milestone by posting a mere three times. His first post, published shortly after the app's launch, humorously queried, "Soooooo, how long until we're also addicted to this app? Lol."

Threads, Zuckerberg's new social media platform for Instagram users, went live on Thursday, aiming to provide a "friendly" alternative to Twitter for those who are dissatisfied with the changes implemented by Elon Musk since his acquisition of the platform in October 2022.

As of Thursday, more than 30 million users have registered for this predominantly text-based app, which is accessible in over 100 countries and supports 30 languages. Notable personalities such as singer Shakira, NFL star Tom Brady, and chef Gordon Ramsay have already joined the Threads community, adding to its growing popularity.
